Standards for Public Policy Research for Think Tanks and other Policy Research Organizations.
In the 1980s the term "think tank" was only used in the US but today it is used around the world. Furthermore, I have attempted to promote a definition of think tanks which are “public-policy research analysis and engagement organizations that generate policy-oriented research, analysis, and advice on domestic and international issues, thereby enabling policy - makers and the public to make informed decisions about public policy” . I am now hoping you will join in the global effort to provide greater understanding and commitment to a set of standards for public policy research and promote the adoption of policies and procedures that ensure the quality, independence and integrity of think tanks and the research and analysis they produce. .
