 Aaron Dubin-Ramos is a rising junior at Columbia University who is majoring in Political Science and minoring in History. His China’s Foreign Relations class, where he learned about both the history of China and applied levels of analysis to assess past and current trends in China, and his Salvadorian background has molded his interest in international politics and states’ security in the international system.

On campus, Aaron serves as the Vice President of the Latinx Professional Education Network (LPEN) where he tutors Latinx middle school students and plans networking sessions for Latinx Columbia students. Alongside his work at LPEN, Aaron is the Birthright Israel Recruitment Intern at Columbia/Barnard Hillel where he shares the Birthright Israel experience with prospective students and creates social media posts to garner interest.

 Currently, Aaron is the Chief Administrative and Research Coordinator at the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program led by Dr. James McGann at the University of Pennsylvania and the Foreign Policy Research Institute. He assists Dr. McGann with research on an upcoming journal article focused on Latin America and arranges high-level meetings between Dr. McGann and leading think tank scholars. In addition to his internship, Aaron is taking a class on the history of the criminal justice system in the United States.
